A happy little sheep brooch created by Sharon McSwiney. Handcrafted in St Ives, Cornwall.
The sheep brooch features spirals of wire to represent the wool giving a lovely textured finish. A happy little design to bring a smile.
The oxidised copper colour finish is applied to a brass base. Details are then brush finished to highlight the designs. The brooch is then lacquered to protect the surface. Due to the handmade nature of this item there may be slight variations in colour & texture to the example shown.
The brooch approx weight is 10g. The catch mechanism will keep the brooch safe while being worn.
Looks great on a jacket or jumper/sweater.
Supplied gift boxed as shown, ideal as a present even if you are treating yourself!
This is one of my earliest animal brooch designs and came about after a commission from a sheep farmer when I was based in Worcestershire. This then led to a whole collection of other animals such as pigs, cows, horses & donkeys!
