More Buttons.....

Although I was rather sloth like on Sunday I did manage to finish stitching my green & blue buttons onto labels to complete another picture. In addition to the more subtle colours of the first collection completed last year, I wanted to do further selections of my favourite buttons! So I now have arrangements of pink/red/orange hues plus the green/blue/turquoise versions.

Some of the buttons I remember from particular coats & jackets belonging to my gran.

I think the rest of Gran's buttons will stay in the tins until I come up with another idea!! Although I have now started my own tin - it may take some years to have enough to create anything with them?

Christmas Cats!

Just been looking through an old folder of designs & found these xmas cats from years ago!!

I don't remember ever putting them into 'production'?

Think they would look groovy as some wrapping paper maybe??

It's funny how you re-discover things....

I'm planning to have a MAJOR sort out after Christmas so who knows what treasures I'll find?

Metalwork Sections in production

With numerous exhibitions & events coming up fast I thought I'd better get cracking on making some metalwork panels. As these are the most labour intensive pieces I produce I thought I would make as many pieces as possible over the next few days & then start to assemble them together. As I am showing at the Malvern Autumn Show this weekend I only have today to work on production!

Love Birds

Just put these latest pictures up in the studio.....
The deep box canvas is approx 20cm x 20cm with an applied textured surface...the little birds & cats are copper & brass... just a little experiment!
