New cards

Yesterday I made this special wedding acceptance card for a customer. The bride had made a brilliant invite which she had illustrated herself. My customer wanted me to produce a metal couple using the same design.

This is the result....

As this was quite a complicated piece I would not be able to reproduce something this involved
which started me to thinking about simple metal work shapes I could easily cut out by hand & also use up some of my scrap off cuts of copper & brass....

With my current owl & of course cat obsession these fit in quite well!

Wedding Couple

I have discovered some pieces when having a sort out at the studio.... These were made some time ago with the idea of them being wedding cake toppers! I think they make unusual wedding day or anniversary gifts. One lady bought one the other day to hopefully bring her luck in finding love.... you never know!!

Each piece is made in brass and stands approx 10cm tall. I am offering 2 finishes at the moment; a shiny satin finish or an oxidised darker finish. I have plans to make a solid silver version in the near future.

Makes an unusual alternative to a plastic or sugar piece & will last forever!
