HEREFORD THIS SATURDAY!

I shall be braving the cold on Saturday once again!

At the Hereford Craft Market on High Town in Hereford

Opening hours are 9am to 5pm

A great opportunity to purchase affordable crafts for Christmas.

I shall be showing a selection of jewellery, metalwork panels and pictures,

garden sticks, Christmas decorations and greetings cards.

The studio at the Fold, Bransford will be open as usual 10am-5pm.

Crafts not just for Christmas Exhibition

I'm thrilled at the catalogue for the forthcoming crafts exhibition at Worcester City Art Gallery!

You may remember from an earlier post the gallery commissioned me to design & make a piece of jewellery to reflect the theme of the exhibition....a very sad looking cat & dog!

This brooch has been photographed and used for the invite & catalogue plus the actual piece is going to be the prize in a raffle. Entry into the exhibition & gallery is free.

It's lovely to see an image of my work used to promote what should be a fab exhibition. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to attend the opening this Friday as I'll be down in Suffolk but I'll be rushing down to the gallery on Foregate Street in Worcester next week to see the display.

Blackthorpe Barn this weekend

I shall be exhibiting at the lovely Blackthorpe Barn in Suffolk this weekend, near to Bury St Edmunds at Rougham. This is a week earlier than the usual one I show at here. I shall be sharing a stand with friend Penny Williams who will be showing her cats, dogs & chickens.

This will be the last event which is further afield....still have Hereford & Cheltenham shows in December plus of course the studio is open 6 days a week up to Christmas.

Designer Makers @ The Fold Special Event

Once again I'm doing 2 things at once this weekend.......

Exhibiting at No8 in Pershore & involved with a special weekend at The Fold.

All the designer maker studios will be open this Saturday & Sunday for a Christmas shopping opportunity!!

I shall be having some special offers...haven't decided what yet???? But will probably involve Christmas cards & decorations....plus a new nibbles & maybe a tipple.....Much nicer than trawling the High Street I'm sure?

The next event I will be showing at is a local show this time.

The WGDC Christmas Show is being held at Number 8 in Pershore.

The preview is this Thursday 19th November 7pm - 9pm.

The show will then continue on Friday 20th & Saturday 21st November 10am - 6pm.

The Gallery Upstairs exhibition

Sorry not been around for couple of days due to horrible cold cough throat thing! Back now....

Popped to the private view in Henley in Arden on Sunday - phew! How busy??? I didn't stay very long as I was worried I would have a coughing fit but all the work looked fab! People were queueing up to make purchases & I did spy a couple of red dots on my work so a good sign....

The exhibition opens tomorrow 10th November & runs until the 28th November.

Showing Off Event this weekend!

Just a quickie as I should have left the studio by now.............!

I'm showing in Ludlow this Saturday & Sunday with the Shropshire Guild & the Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen.

The fair is taking place at the Harley Centre,

Ludlow College in Ludlow just off the Castle Square.

Saturday 10am - 5pm

Sunday 10am - 4pm

It should be a good quality event & a chance to start that Christmas shopping for some unique gifts.

The studio will still be open at Bransford as Tim is working there!

Forthcoming Events in October

Time is whizzing by & we are almost in October....I have a number of events coming up which I will of course keep you posted about. Here's a brief listing.....

• Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen are showing in the Craftcases at No8 in Pershore.A selection of work from some of the members will be on display & for sale, including some of my jewellery. This is from 9th October until 18th November.



• Three Little Pigs also in Pershore is going to be showing some of my metalwork panels & pictures plus a selection of garden sticks & greetings cards throughout October.



• An exhibition at Hookshouse Pottery is planned for 23rd October to 1st November where I shall be showing a range of work alongside Penny Williams & other makers including Christoper White who hosts the event at his studio near Tetbury.



• Several WGDC members are taking part in 'Showing off' in Ludlow 24th & 25th October together with members of the Shropshire Guild.

More details of these events will be posted nearer the time to each one....this is just to give you some ideas!

Malvern Show this weekend

I'm setting up at the Three Counties Showground this afternoon for the Malvern Autumn Show. As usual I'm exhibiting with the Worcestershire Guild of Craftsmen in the Wye Hall alongside Penny Williams. The weather forecast looks good so I'm hoping for lots of visitors! I'm going to show some of the Autumn Leaves metalwork pieces.

The Guild will have the new directory's available at the show which are a very useful guide to the Guild members. My Bransford studio will still be open today and Saturday as usual.

h.Art starts this week!

This week we'll be putting up our exhibition at the Fold cafe 'Autumn Leaves' as part of the h.Art event this year. There will be jewellery, metalwork, glass, wood, textiles & batik work on display all with an Autumnal theme be it with colours or leafy images.

Also on Saturday I'll be showing at the Hereford Craft Market in High Town 9am - 5pm. The studio is still open as mum is there!

We are opening for the full h.Art dates:

Saturday 12th until Sunday 20th September

11am - 5pm

Our exhibition is likely to continue in the cafe into October so if you can't make it over the next few days there will still be an opportunity to view the work - as long as it hasn't all sold that is!!

Landmark Arts & Leigh Events this weekend

This coming weekend I'm exhibiting at 2 events - good job I have Tim on board isn't it!

I'm off to Landmark Arts Centre on Friday for the Midsummer Arts Fair. I haven't done this event before but have had good reports from other makers. The centre is situated on Ferry Road, Teddington, London TW11 9NN. You can find more info on the website http://www.landmarkartscentre.org/

Leigh Open Gardens & Craft Fair

The second event is on Sunday 21st June 12 noon to 6pm at the Tithe Barn in Leigh. This craft fair is part of the Leigh Open Gardens event with around 15 gardens ranging from courtyard to extensive being open to visitors.

The craft fair is being held in the fantastic 14th century Leigh Court Tithe Barn which sits adjacent to the 12th century St Edburga's Church. Leigh is not far from my studio at The Fold - off the A4103 follow the signs from the Bank House Hotel roundabout.

Funds raised from this event will be donated to the establishment of a dedicated breast cancer unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Worcester High Street Stand

Thought you might like to see the stand display at Worcester this weekend. We set up again this morning - much brighter than yesterday thank goodness!

Tim is holding the fort while I'm at the studio with the farmers market going on at The Fold. It's a lovely sunny morning so hoping for lots of visitors.......
Our stand is next to Roy Dutton's wooden sculptures......
I really like the big head figure the texture on the metal surface is fab. If you see Roy ask him about the trouble he had making this piece!
We already own 2 figures with earrings...can feel another purchase coming on!!!

Last Christmas Event

This Saturday is my last Craft Fair before Christmas. I shall be showing in Hereford once again. The craft market will be situated in

Hereford High Town on Saturday 13th Dec 9am until 5pm

Look forward to seeing you there for any last minute prezzie purchases!

PS Don't worry my studio will still be open as usual (10am - 5pm)

Blackthorpe Barn

Off again this weekend to another event down in Suffolk. This is a lovely show with a great Christmas atmosphere...Trees, mulled wine & mince pies, holly & decorations. The barn itself is amazing worth a visit just to admire the construction.. but of course there is all the fantastic craft work on show too!!

I'm only showing at one of the weekends due to the distance away....
